I’m a big fan of activewear. I’m not your typical gym or exercise enthusiast but I do love the outdoors and I’m pretty much always on the move if chasing kids around counts as exercise!
Finding good quality leggings has been a bit of a mission of mine. Even more so since I got my insulin pump (I’m a type 1 diabetic) about 4 years ago. So now all my leggings need pockets too, to hold my pump!
You’d think this would be an easier ask, right? Well it’s been hard to find ones that not only have pockets but also make me feel good about myself. And so, probably like many of you, I have found myself with an ever increasing pile of leggings in my wardrobe that I don't necessarily wear.
I was thrilled when I came across AvaRose on Instagram last year. It's an Irish, female owned business and the reviews said these leggings were amazing. Oh and to top it off they had pockets… score. I got in touch and Emelie kindly sent us a couple of pairs to try. One of the pairs was supposed to be for my wife, but I ended up loving my pair so much, that I stole hers too.
From the moment I put them on, they fit like a glove, but not in a tight/uncomfortable sort of way. Kind of like a really nice, soft hug.. And they make my legs and bum look pretty awesome too. The material that’s used is super stretchy and they don’t cut into your hips or tummy at all which was a problem I’d had with previous leggings.
"We found that women have so many pairs of leggings laying around but finding those perfect fit, everyday wear leggings are really hard to find, that is why we have worked hard to design the perfect leggings. With a very high GSM (grams per meter square = thickness/number of fibres) that makes the leggings compressed and figure shaping and with the high waist, they will leave you feel comfortable yet confident."
All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a pair or two. There’s loads of fun colours and also just some nice basics like black or blue. You can also use my code ranae15 for 15% OFF any regular priced leggings.
Ps. I was sent two pairs of AvaRose leggings for the purpose of this review, but all views, as always are entirely my own.
