2020 has been quite the year. Now that we have launched head first into 2021, we are more hopeful for the future and there is optimism that the global pandemic will ease with the rollout of vaccines. However, for the moment we are still stuck in a perpetual lockdown. While this can be challenging as we cannot do the things that we are used to doing, you can still start planning for when lockdown eventually eases. What are the activities you are going to enjoy with your family when the world starts opening up once again?
Friends and Family
We have become accustomed to staying indoors and making our own entertainment. However, when lockdown eases you will have the chance to spend time with your nearest and dearest, venture out to your favourite restaurants and hot foot it to the movies. Socialising is something that we will never take for granted again. If your little one has a birthday coming up, you might want to start planning now. Everyone has had a birthday (or two!) during lockdown now so you might want to make the next party the best and most spectacular one ever. Treat your kids to some bowling trips, go to a theme park and enjoy heading to the park for a picnic with friends. Being able to socialise and be close to our loved ones once again could be the biggest post-lockdown treat of them all. I now for us it will.
The chances are that you haven’t hot footed it to a far flung shore for over a year. You are probably itching for a trip outside your 5K... I know I am. But with the way things are, it's probably going to be a better idea to embark on a road trip closer to home. This could be the safer option than overseas travel and still leave you and your brood having an awesome adventure. You could head to the coast, take some time out to relax on the beach, or go into the countryside to go camping. Holidays can help you to spend quality time as a family. Make sure you take all Covid-19 secure precautions. While the world is opening up, you still want to protect your family and ensure that you adhere to all vacation rules.
If you have been putting off buying a new car because you haven’t been driving as much, now might be the time to think about your next car. Forget about wasting money on a brand new car that depreciates in value the moment you drive it off the forecourt and go for a reliable used car. This will save you money and give you more choice as your budget will stretch further. It's also better for the environment. Our family has always bought second hand when going for a car. For inspirational used car ideas, check out these Vauxhall nearly new cars. They are great value, come with a warranty and many have great fuel economy. You want a family car that allows you to ferry the kids to school, clubs and friends’ houses without costing a small fortune.
What are the post-lockdown activities that you're looking forward to the most?
